Aica-Aibon221Premium D3+Adhesive is a ready to use Water Resistant Wood Adhesive based on Polyvinyl Acetate Homopolymer Emulsion. It is specially designed for application in cold weather conditions. It is an ideal adhesive for surface Lamination in Hot Press, Cold Press & Roller Press.

It is a Technologically Superior Product in its class, providing very High-Water Resistance. It withstands Lower Temperatures, gives Superior Performance and offers much better Durability to Furniture &Handicraft manufactured in cold weather because of its special formulation. It is non-flammable, non-combustible & non-toxic in nature.

Fields Of Application

POST FORMING is a technique in which a High Pressure Decorative Laminate (HPL) is bonded on to a wood based panel (Plywood/Particle Board/MDF) & rounded around edges in order to wrap & protect the edges.

Application Methods

Ø First HPL is laminated on a wooden based panel then extended. HPL (which are thin < 1mm thickness) are softened by applying heat, are bended over the edges.

Ø Hot Lamps provide the heat, which soften the thin HPL quickly, and the bar bends the Laminate around the edges & presses it onto the panel edges.

Ø For Semi-Automatic Machines the application is done when glue is wet & in standalone position.

Ø Application parameters for Semi-Automatic Machine are :

1.     Temperature          :           140-160°C

2.     Pressure                   :           5-6kg/sq.cm

3.     Contact Time          :           2-3 mins.

Application Method: Hot Press, Cold Press & Roller Press

Ø Aica-Aibon221Premium D3+Adhesive should be applied on the side of Ply Surface only and not on the Lamination side.

Ø  Lamination can be done on Both Top & Bottom (Front & Back) Side, followed by Cold Press / Hot Press / Roller Press with constant pressure.

Ø In case of Cold Press handling strength is achieved in 4-5 hours, while in the case of Hot Press handling strength is achieved in 15 mins.

Ø After coming out of the Press Machine the panel is cut in a Beam Saw or Panel Saw Machine as per desired shape & size.

APPLICATION METHOD:

Edge to Edge Bonding & Finger Jointing

Ø Before allowing adhesive to dry, bring both the surfaces in contact & align properly.

Ø In Edge to Edge Bonding the edges of hard wood (Babool, Mango, Sheesham,etc.) are joined to other wooden planks of the same size.

Ø The Adhesive is spread on the side edge of a solid wooden plank & then joined to other edges& kept tightly clamped.

Ø In Finger Joining the adhesive is applied manually by dipping the finger shaped wooden plank in a glue shape container & then inserting this plank in another plank under pressure.

Ø Suitable for gluing all types of wood, wooden materials and flat laminate.

Ø Wood to wood, soft- and hardboard, synthetic resin board and chipboard.

Ø Suitable for fixing paper, cardboard, paper or textile-backed PVC cloth to wood and board.

Ø May also be used to bond outdoor timber constructions such as window-frames and external doors.

Ø Particularly suitable for moisture-resistant bonds which have to fulfill high demands.

Ø It is thicker and applied with Hard Card Aica-Aibon221 card.

Instructions

Aica-Aibon221Premium D3+Adhesive can be applied using mechanical glue spreader, brush or hand roller and air activate glue gun.

Stock Keeping Unit (SKU)

Ø Available in packs of 25kg Bucket & 55kg Drum.

Storage And Handling

Ø Store in sealed containers in dry condition at temperatures between 15-30℃, prevent direct exposure to sunlight, heat, dust and moisture.

Ø Full water resistance is achieved after 7 days. The product should be thoroughly mixed before use.

Ø Addition of water is not recommended.

Ø Shut the containers properly after use. Containers once opened should be used on first in, first out basis.

Ø Rotate stock using oldest material first.

Ø Do not mix with other products as it can lead to incompatibility and other related problems.

Ø Protect from freezing/frost.
